This little fertility doll is from the Ambo people of Angola. Mothers pass these dolls to their daughters for generations to inspire fertility - this one has seen years of use. The white bead eyes are held to the palm nut head with pitch and she measures 8" high with a head 2.5" in diameter. The bottom part of the nut has been tightly covered in fabric - please see photo below. Early to mid 20th century. #9110  SOLD
