Wonderful saltwood disk earplugs with a decorative outer layer of vinyl asbestos tile mosaic pieces fastened with metal nails. By the 1950s vinyl asbestos tile was the most common design element. The red is a nice cherry red on both sides, unlike the pinkish color in the photo at bottom. Mid-20th century.
