African Tribal Art - Cache-fesse, negbe, Mangbetu, D.R.Congo

A graphic cache-fesse (back apron) or negbe from the Mangbetu of D.R. Congo. Made of fiber and banana leaf, these were worn by women as a fanny apron. Please see old postcard below. This one measures 14" wide by 12" high. Mid 20th century.  #5934 SOLD
