Beer Pot Cover (Imbengi)

8" (20.2 cm) in diameter by 1.5" (3.7 cm) high
Mid 20th century
These beaded covers were used over the mouth of a traditional ceramic beet pot, Ukhamba, to protect the sorghum beer from dust and flies. This is one with a lacey look and is in great condition.
