A stern copper head from the Moche culture of Peru. Its function is unknown, but it has an elaborate head covering indicating high rank. It measures 1.75” high by 1.25” wide and has a peg at the neck (the black tape was used to fit it snugly to a base, now long gone). A.D. 100-800  #4061 POR
