Ceramic Bells
Oaxaca, Mexico
Earthenware, glaze
c. 1950s
7.75" (19.6 cm) high

Ex. Fred and Nancy Roscoe collection, California

These wonderful ceramic ram, bird and elephant bells were made by the Aguilar family in Oaxaca, most likely Isaura Aguilar, the mother of Josefina, since these were collected in the 1950s. They have a ceramic ball on a string inside for ringing. In excellent condition, except for the right side of the bird's bowtie.
