India
Lost wax cast bronze

17th century

Radha was a one of the gopis (milkmaids or cowherds) who Krishna played and danced with as a child. They developed a divine love and she became his favorite. Some believe her to be an incarnation of Lakshmi and she embodies supreme focus and mental clarity, beauty, intelligence, and good fortune. Here she holds a lotus bud in her left hand.
