An evocative coco de mer basket, probably from India. Most of these were sold as a tourist souvenirs during the Victorian era but this one may be from the early or mid-20th century. This coco de mer is unusually spotted and measures 13.5” high. There is a nice patina on the handle from use – please see photo below.  #1964  $800
