This Kondh bronze figure is
from tribal Orissa in central India. They were made from a clay base
with a net-like pattern of bronze and this dowry figure portrays two
singing drummers seated on a cot with a lidded wicker basket between
them for offerings. It would have been given to the groom as a prestige
gift by the family of the bride. Please see additional view below
