This solid butter churn handle or ghurra (also neti) exhibits strong form and a beautiful encrusted patina. The two thick strands of rope evoke the endless knot and it stands sturdily even though one of the four legs has lost a bit of its base. The triangular surface carving on the circular top has completely worn down on one side - see detail photos below.
