While exploring the enormous variety of cache-sex adornment from Africa and Papua New Guinea, a select few were photographed here with various masks, iron currency, and one irresistible funereal hand. Cache-sex (literally “hide the sex”) were worn by women of all ages to protect and entice, the appearance of each determined by the marital status of the woman as well as the materials used: leather, iron, string, glass beads, shells and seeds.
