A large circular woven yam headdress from the Eastern Abelam, East Sepik
Province, Papua New Guinea. This particular type is called a doa,
and it is woven in a coiled manner with strips from the stem of the
lygodium vine. It measures 19.5” high by 17.5” wide and is painted
