This mushtia shawl is from Jbiniana, a village between Sfax and Mediha, in Tunisia. In good condition, it has several very small spots of insect holes - see example in the center left of the photo below. Spots of orange henna accent the complex bands of white, black and red wool. It measures 103" by 43". Early to mid-20th century. TT145 ~ SOLD |
